Job description

As a Head Of Client Services at CMDS, you will work on planning and ensuring the lifecycle of clients to solidify partnerships, retain customer relations, acquire new business, and overall, increase the value of our client’s brands. You are the primary liaison between the internal CMDS team and the client. Your job is to serve both the client and the company by facilitating the success of ongoing client relationships. You will provide strategic input and come up with creative solutions to meet their goals. As a senior member of the team, you will have leadership and organizational responsibilities helping the team meet goals.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Proven technical expertise as an account strategist and project manager, especially in agency settings.
  • Strategic and logical thinker with strong business acumen.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, adept at navigating diverse personalities and situations.
  • Proficient in managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Extensive experience in pharma accounts, including familiarity with Medical Legal Review process and FDA submissions.

What will you be doing?

Account Ownership & Management:

  • Take ownership of existing and new accounts, overseeing client relationships and project management.
  • Schedule and prioritize client deliverables within defined scope, timeline, and budget.

Team Leadership:

  • Manage and inspire a team of digital marketing professionals.
  • Provide guidance, set objectives, and foster a collaborative, high-performing environment.

Client Communication:

  • Serve as the primary point of communication between the company and clients.
  • Conduct monthly reporting and mid-month check-in calls with clients.

Relationship Building:

  • Establish and cultivate strong working relationships with senior-level client contacts.
  • Handle new client onboarding for both the team and the client.

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop strategic steps to achieve business goals and communicate marketing plans to clients.
  • Provide strategic and creative input to guide client direction.

Innovation & Thought Leadership:

  • Bring innovation and thought leadership to drive modern marketing solutions.
  • Capitalize on opportunities for upsells and extensions of services.

Internal Collaboration:

  • Partner with internal teams to develop insights and mentor team members with varying levels of experience.
  • Onboard new employees to understand client accounts and relationships.

Documentation & Analysis:

  • Document all meetings and communications.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot issues, resolving questions as they arise.

Sales Support & Presentation:

  • Educate and pre-qualify leads, managing the CRM for new sales opportunities.
  • Develop internal and external business presentations as needed.

Project Planning & Management:

  • Plan new projects specific to clients, writing proposals for new and existing relationships.
  • Assist with quality assurance, testing, and documentation.
  • Keep records of project hours and budgets.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

  • 10-15 years project/account management experience with an agency or web technology company
  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, business psychology
  • 10-15 years of agency-side, leadership experience managing client accounts in a professional services setting
  • Experience leading a team
  • Willingness to put in the hours necessary to accomplish tasks and meet all deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of popular content management systems (Asana, Harvest,Proposify etc)
  • A passion for streamlining business processes to save time and money

Schedule:

  • Monday through Thursday work week from 8-6. EVERY FRIDAY OFF!
