CMDS collaborated with GKS Electric, Inc., formerly Gary Kubiak & Son Electric, Inc., to lead a complete rebranding project including a new company name, logo, brand guidelines, and a refreshed web presence. They sought to shift public perception from a traditional, residential-focused company to a quality, scalable commercial contractor.
The original name — Gary Kubiak & Son Electric — was family-oriented but had a residential tone that didn't match the magnitude of their commercial business. CMDS recommended a high-end, professional name: GKS Electric, Inc. The abbreviation gave them a newer, more commercial tone as a serious contender in the B2B electrical contracting market.
We took the new brand identity and built a clean, professional site that clearly conveyed their commercial service value proposition. Built to reflect the trade’s practical spirit, the site was focused on clarity, credibility, and conversion. The site’s minimalist design conveys the reliability of the GKS brand.
CMDS created a custom logo that would make GKS Electric, Inc. stand out amongst their competitors. The new image included bold, block lettering to reflect strength and structure. A vibrant blue and yellow color palette added dynamics to the visual, with a lightning bolt subtly incorporated into the negative space of the "G" to add symbolism and uniqueness. The logo represented professionalism, energy, and growth — something their old mark lacked.
CMDS developed an extensive brand guide to help facilitate consistency for any future marketing efforts. The guide established rules of use for the logo, identified core brand colors (HEX and CMYK values), and determined key messaging themes. It also included several branded marketing pieces to reference as inspiration for future campaigns, with a clear creative direction for the GKS team and any future partners.
